Ivan Fong

Ivan Fong is currently the EVP, General Counsel & Secretary at Medtronic. Ivan has previously served as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal and Policy Officer and Secretary at Cboe Global Markets, and as General Counsel at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Prior to that, they were CLO & Secretary at Cardinal Health, SVP & General Counsel at GE Vendor Financial Services, and Sr. Counsel, E-Commerce & IT at GE. Mr. Fong began their career as a Deputy Associate Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice, before becoming a Partner at Covington & Burling. Ivan then served as a Law Clerk for Justice Sandra Day O'Connor at the Supreme Court of the United States.

Ivan Fong is a graduate of Stanford Law School, the University of Oxford, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Ivan has a Juris Doctor degree from Stanford, a Bachelor of Civil Law degree from Oxford, and a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering Practice from MIT. Ivan also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from MIT.

Ivan Fong reports to Geoffrey S. Martha, President & CEO. They work with Richard E. Kuntz - SVP, Chief Medical & Scientific Officer, Carol Surface - SVP, CHRO, and Noel Colón - SVP, Chief Quality Officer.
