Roberta Portela

Roberta Portela has a strong background in veterinary oncology, with a focus on medical oncology. Roberta is currently working at MedVet as a Medical Oncologist. Prior to that, they worked at VCA Arboretum View from 2018 to 2020 in the same role. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Premier Veterinary Group, Animal Emergency and Specialty Centers as a Medical Oncologist. Roberta also has experience as a Veterinary Oncology Resident at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2011 to 2014 and as an Oncology and Clinical Trials Intern at The Ohio State University from 2010 to 2011. Roberta started their career as an Oncologist at Provet from 2008 to 2010.

Roberta Portela completed their education in a chronological manner, starting with their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho from 2001 to 2005. Later, they pursued a Master's Degree in Veterinary Oncology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2011 to 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Roberta Portela obtained certification as a Board Certified in Veterinary Oncology from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in July 2015.
