Michael Sullivan, PE, CHC, CHFM has over 10 years of experience in various roles. Michael is currently working as a Project Manager at Medxcel Facilities Management, where they are leading a project for a 150,000 sqft acute care hospital. Prior to this, they served as a Civil Engineer Corps Officer in the US Navy, where they managed and supervised multiple construction projects, including a $80M hangar and airfield construction.

In addition to their military experience, Michael also worked as a Military Fellow at Walt Disney Imagineering, where they assisted in contract management and strategic sourcing for design and construction projects. Michael played a key role in completing and tracking approximately $500M in contract items and permits.

Before starting their career in the Navy, Michael gained experience as an Intern at the City of O'Fallon, Illinois. Michael also served as a Division Officer aboard USS Arlington (LPD24) and as a Midshipman in the NROTC program at the University of Missouri.

Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated strong leadership skills, project management expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. Michael holds certifications as a Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC), and Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM).

Michael Sullivan, PE, CHC, CHFM's education history includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, obtained from 2010 to 2014. Michael also completed a minor in Math and a minor in Naval Science during the same period. In 2015, they attended SWOS Norfolk BDOC for the Basic Division Officer Course in Navy Surface Warfare. In 2016, they attended the Civil Engineering Corp Officer School where they studied Construction Management, Government Contracting, and Seabee Expeditionary Warfare.

In addition to their education, Michael Sullivan has obtained several certifications. Michael is a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) from the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE), which they obtained in June 2023. Michael also holds an OSHA 10 certification from the OSHA Safety Training Institute, obtained in April 2023. Michael is a Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) from ASHE, obtained in December 2022. Furthermore, they are a Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida (Civil), certified by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers since January 2021. Michael has an OSHA 30 certification from the US DEPARTMENT OF LABOR OSHA, obtained in June 2019. Michael passed the FE Exam offered by NCEES in April 2014. Lastly, they are a Professional Engineer (PE) in South Carolina (Civil: Water Resources and Environmental), certified by the LABOR, LICENSING AND REGULATION, SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF since February 2019.
