Design Lead at Meep

Erika Álvarez Romero has extensive experience in the field of product design, with a focus on user-centered and human-centered design approaches. Erika currently holds the position of Design Lead at Meep, where they have been working since July 2022. Prior to this role, they served as a Product Designer at Meep from October 2021 to January 2023.

Before joining Meep, Erika worked at Tadaima Studio as a Product Designer from March 2020 to October 2021. In this role, they contributed to the development of digital products aimed at optimizing clients' businesses through a human-centered design perspective.

Prior to Tadaima Studio, Erika was a Product Designer at Fintonic from January 2019 to March 2020. Before Tadaima Studio, Erika worked as a UX/UI Designer at Kairós Digital Solutions S.L. from November 2015 to April 2017. Erika was involved in the conceptualization, strategy, and user experience of financial products for clients such as BBVA and ING.

Erika's earlier experience includes roles as a UX Designer and Visual Designer at Mobile Dreams Factory from August 2014 to November 2015, a Visual Designer at ideup from March 2013 to August 2014, a Visual Designer at Tanta Comunicación from May 2010 to March 2013, and a Junior Art Director at Brainstant Soup from February 2008 to May 2010. In these positions, they worked on various design projects for clients such as Burger King, Repsol, Vodafone, Iberia, and many more.

Erika Álvarez Romero completed their Bachelor of Advertising and Public Relations degree at Universidad Complutense de Madrid from 1998 to 2004. Erika then pursued a Degree in Philosophy at Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. in 2012. In 2017, they attended UXER SCHOOL for a User Experience Immersive program. The following year, in 2019, Erika studied UX Research at LA NAVE NODRIZA. Lastly, in 2020, they completed a Design Process Facilitation program at the same institution, LA NAVE NODRIZA.
