James Smith has worked in the medical field since 2002, beginning as a Urology Resident at the University of Utah School of Medicine. In 2007, they joined Ucsf Medical Center & Ucsf Children’s Hospital, where they held the roles of Professor of Urology in Residence, Director of Male Reproductive Health, Associate Professor of Urology in Residence, Assistant Professor of Urology in Residence, and Reproductive and Sexual Medicine Fellow. In 2018, they became the Founding Physician and Consulting Head Research & Development for a Fellow.
James Smith attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology. James then attended the UC Berkeley School of Public Health from 1997 to 2000, where they earned a Master's degree in Health Medical Sciences. James also attended the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine from 1997 to 2002, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine - MD in Medicine.
