Jonathan Sommerfeld

Jonathan Sommerfeld is an experienced professional in the energy sector with a diverse background in water and power plant operations. Currently serving as a Water Production Coordinator at MEG Energy Corp. since April 2012, Jonathan has also held roles as a Control Room Operator, Plant Operator, and Water Treatment Operator within the company. Prior experience includes working as a Power Engineer at Nexen Inc. from July 2007 to March 2012, where responsibilities encompassed steam and cogeneration as well as water treatment operations. Jonathan began a career in the field with a summer student position as a Power Engineer at EPCOR in 2006. Jonathan holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering Technology (PET) from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, obtained between 2005 and 2007.
