Christian Wallace

Christian Wallace has extensive work experience in various roles in the IT industry. Christian started their career as a Junior Programmer at WBHO Construction in 2001 and then worked as a Programmer at Mediscor PBM (Pty) Ltd from 2005 to 2008. Christian then joined Investec as an Information Technology Programmer from 2008 to 2012.

In 2012, Christian became a Senior Analyst Developer at Mediscor PBM (Pty) Ltd, where they oversaw the development and implementation of a new medical claims processing system. Christian successfully integrated the system with a U.S.-owned partner system, enabling the processing of over 150,000 real-time transactions per day.

Christian joined New Zealand Post in 2018 as a Scrum Master. Christian later took on the role of Business Analyst and Scrum Master, where they advised Product Owners and facilitated workshops to help teams align with product objectives. Christian also played a key role in promoting the Scrum Master accountability within the organization through training and coaching.

In 2021, Christian joined assurity.nz as an Agile Consultant, where they worked until 2023. Currently, they are working as a Scrum Master at MEGA The Privacy Company.

Christian Wallace obtained a Comprehensive Programming Diploma in Computer Programming from CTI Education Group from 2000 to 2001. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a Digital Product Management: Modern Fundamentals certification from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in August 2022. They also acquired the Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) certification from Scrum.org in April 2022. Moreover, they earned the Lean Six Sigma Foundations certification from LinkedIn in March 2022, along with the Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from the Aveta Business Institute in the same month and year. Additionally, Christian achieved certifications in Lean Technology Strategy: Building High-Performing Teams from LinkedIn in January 2022, Agile Development Practices from LinkedIn in December 2021, and Agile Foundations from LinkedIn in December 2021. They also obtained certifications in Agile at Work, including Building Your Agile Team, Driving Productive Agile Meetings, Getting Better with Agile Retrospectives, Planning with Agile User Stories, Reporting with Agile Charts and Boards, and Characteristics of a Great Scrum Master, all from LinkedIn in December 2021. Christian also acquired certifications in Comparing Agile versus Waterfall Project Management, Requirements Elicitation and Analysis, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Stay Lean with Kanban, and Transitioning from Waterfall to Agile Project Management, all from LinkedIn in December 2021. Additionally, they obtained the ICAgile Certified Professional - Agile Team Facilitation certification from ICAgile in September 2021 and the Better User Stories certification from Mountain Goat Software in November 2020.
