Paul Schmidt  Creative Producer

Paul Schmidt  Creative Producer has over 20 years of experience in the media industry. Starting in 1998, they were an Associate Producer at CTV/The Comedy Network. In 2002, they became a Line Producer at MuchMusic, followed by Senior Producer/Head Writer at Pyramid Productions in 2004. In 2005, they were Manager of In-House Productions at Sun TV, where they managed a team of 12-15 direct reports and a budget of $1M+. From 2010 to 2016, they were Supervising Producer of Breakfast Television at Rogers Broadcasting and Manager of the Local Content Group at Citytv Calgary. In 2016, they became an Instructor at The Second City Training Centre, creating an intensive video production course. Since 2017, they have been Vice President of Customer Success at Megaphone TV, a Participation Entertainment Studio that has broadcast and streaming clients such as Rogers Sportsnet, CNN International, AMC, ABC, Bravo, MTV, NBC, TEGNA, and Cox Media Group. Paul Schmidt  Creative Producer is also an accomplished writer and director, having written for Citytv’s New Year’s Bash, the Much Music Video Awards, The Comedy Network’s Chez Carla, CTV’s Sonic Temple, the Canadian Radio Music Awards, the Gemini Awards Industry Night, and The Comedy Network’s Front Row at Just For Laughs. Paul Schmidt  was also the co-writer and producer of In God We Trust, a short film that aired on The Comedy Network.

Paul Schmidt is a Creative Producer who holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Radio & Television Arts from Ryerson University. Paul Schmidt  attended Ryerson University from 1994 to 1998.
