Essi Kainonen

Essi Kainonen serves as the Medical Director and Chief Physician for Digital Health Services at Mehiläinen since October 2018 and holds the position of Chief Physician at BeeHealthy since January 2020. Previous experience includes roles as Assistant Chief Physician in eHealth at Pihlajalinna from June 2017 to September 2018, and as a Medical Doctor GP and Director of Development at Sairaala NEO from January 2014 to June 2017, focusing on delivering high-quality medical services and developing clinic operations. Kainonen also worked as Clinical Director and Medical Doctor at MeeDoc, providing telemedical services. Earlier career roles include General Practitioner positions at Mehiläinen, Terveystalo, and Attendo. Kainonen obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in pediatrics, clinical allergology, and immunology, as well as a Licentiate degree in Medicine from the University of Turku.
