Blake Benson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2003, they served in the United States Marine Corps for three years, where they held the rank of Corporal and was involved in combat operations. After leaving the military, Blake pursued a career in mental health counseling. Blake worked as a Mental Health Counseling Intern at Broward Medical Ctr in 2012, followed by a role as a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern at The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD from 2016 to 2017. In 2018, they worked as a Program Therapist at Adapt Programs before starting their own independent practice in Fort Bend County, Texas. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Blake focuses on assisting veterans and addressing men's mental health issues. In July 2023, they became the Director of Behavioral Health at MEHOP. Additionally, Blake worked as a Research Assistant at Nova Southeastern University from 2012 to 2015 and briefly served as a Field Representative for the United States Congress in 2013.
Blake Benson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wayne State University, where they studied from 2007 to 2010. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor at Nova Southeastern University, graduating in 2012.
