Hester van Diepen

Hester van Diepen is a seasoned professional in the field of ophthalmology and biomedical sciences, currently serving as a Translational Program Manager at MeiraGTx since February 2020. Previous roles include Director and Scientist in Ophthalmology at ProQR Therapeutics NV from January 2016 to February 2020, and Opleidingscoördinator/studieadviseur at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam for the latter part of 2015. Hester completed a PhD in Neurophysiology at Leiden University Medical Center, where the research occurred from October 2010 to April 2015, and expanded academic experience as a Visiting PhD Student at the University of Oxford in 2013. Educational background includes multiple degrees from Leiden University in Biomedical Sciences and an MSc in Educational Biology, alongside an undergraduate degree in Medical Biology from the University of Amsterdam. Additional international academic exposure includes exchange programs at Lund University and the University of Oxford. Teaching experience includes a role as a Biology teacher at Haags Montessori Lyceum in 2010.
