Jinsong Liu has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Starting in 1995, they worked as a Visiting Scholar at Technische Universität Berlin. Jinsong then moved on to EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), where they served as a Research Fellow until 1999. Following that, they joined the University of Connecticut as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow.
In 2001, Liu joined DSM as a Principal Development Scientist and worked there until 2005. Jinsong then joined American Pharmaceutical Partners (APP) / Abraxis BioScience, where they served as a Principal Scientist from 2005 to 2010.
In 2010, Liu joined Celgene as a Principal Scientist/Team leader in Product Development. Jinsong then moved to Sagent Pharmaceuticals in 2011, where they held various roles, including Director of Scientific Affairs/Project Management and Director of Scientific Affairs/Global Alliance Management.
In 2014, Liu joined Fresenius Kabi USA as the Senior Director of Formulation, Innovation & Development for Generic Drugs & Standard Solutions. From 2015 to 2018, they served as the Vice President of Formulation, Innovation & Development at the same company.
Liu continued their career at Fresenius Kabi, where they worked in different roles. From 2018 to 2021, they were the Vice President and Head of Innovation & Development Center (US), BU Generics & Complex Formulations. From 2021 to 2023, they became the Senior Vice President and Head of Innovation & Development Center (US) for Generics & Complex Formulations.
Currently, Jinsong Liu holds the position of Executive Vice President, Regulatory & Strategic Alliances, BioPharma at Meitheal Pharmaceuticals, Inc., starting in 2023.
Jinsong Liu began their educational journey in 1988 at Sichuan University, where they earned a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry in 1994. Jinsong then pursued further education and obtained a Post Doc in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Connecticut from 1999 to 2001. In recent years, Jinsong Liu has participated in various executive education programs. In 2018 to 2019, they attended the Fresenius Kabi IMPACT Leadership Program at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. In 2019, they also completed the Kellogg Executive Scholar program in Leadership at Kellogg Executive Education.
