Iain Phin is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in IT management and consulting. Currently serving as the Head of Technology at Melbourne & Olympic Parks since September 2022, Iain previously held the position of Head of Information Technology at The Australian Ballet from July 2021 to September 2022. Iain managed IT Operations and IT Business Support teams at Yarra City Council from April 2019 to July 2021, focusing on delivering innovative IT systems and fostering cultural change. As Director at MANAGE I.T. CONSULTING, Iain oversaw significant IT transformation projects, particularly at the Melbourne Recital Centre. Prior roles at AECOM included Senior IT Project Manager and various leadership positions across different regions, where Iain developed strategic IT plans and managed project delivery. Iain holds a Master's degree in IT Leadership from Deakin University and dual HND diplomas in Architectural Technology and Built Environment from Dumfries & Galloway College.

The precinct is notably acclaimed for hosting the Australian Open, a range of sporting codes, as well as the highest calibre of international acts and musicians, including Elton John, Queen, P!NK, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, The Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Bruce Springsteen. A phenomenal $972 million-dollar Melbourne Park Redevelopment has recently been completed by the Victorian Government to cater for the precinct’s growing popularity and enhance Victoria’s sport and entertainment for generations to come. The precinct is home to six of Melbourne's premier venues; Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, John Cain Arena, AAMI Park, CENTREPIECE and Kia Arena. The unrivalled location is situated between Melbourne’s CBD and Botanic Gardens, bound by the Yarra River. Comprising around 40 hectares, as the name suggests, it joins together the exceptionally unique premises of Melbourne Park and Olympic Park. It’s a place where lasting memories are made and legendary matches are played. Melbourne & Olympic Parks acknowledges the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation as Traditional Owners of the land on which the precinct is located and recognise their ongoing connection to this land, and rich culture.
