Barbara-Ann Fox serves as the Foundatin's director of information technology. Ms. Fox is an IT and information security leader in software product development, risk management, information technology operations, and executive leadership. With over 20 years of experience, she has worked with Microsoft, Netscape, and Allscripts in highly regulated industries, including financial services and healthcare. She most recently served as the vice president of technology and informatics at Selfhelp Community Services in New York City. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ms. Fox and her team proudly built an award-winning community-building platform to address loneliness and social isolation.
Ms. Fox holds a bachelor of arts degree from SUNY Albany in economics and computing for social science, where she cofounded the women's NCAA lacrosse program. At 14, she began her IT career writing code for local government. She is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) with ISACA, a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) with ISC2, and is a volunteer member of the FBI InfraGard program.
Ms. Fox's community service includes providing education in programs designed to protect children online and promote youth engagement in STEM programming. She currently serves as a Mentor for IQ4 Cybersecurity Workforce Alliance. Barbara-Ann previously served as an advisory board member for STEM program, cyber camp instructor, and was the STEM conference keynote speaker - Girl Scouts of America, Nassau County.
