Jason Neal

Jason Neal has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jason currently works as the Principal Engineer at MelodyArc, where they lead full stack web application development for both internal and external customer-facing tools. Jason is responsible for delivering world-class user experiences and setting standards for internal development. Prior to this, Jason was the Lead UI Engineer at Parlement Technologies, where they focused on UI development for a customer-facing social media app using Vue. Jason also monitored user feedback and prioritized resources for bug fixes, enhancements, and new feature development.

Before Parlement Technologies, Jason served as the Sr. Director of Software Architecture at iA from 2021 to 2022. Jason joined iA after working at Amazon for several years, where they held multiple positions. As a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, Jason designed and implemented full stack web solutions to meet the scaling demands of the company. Jason also managed and led a team of web developers, collaborated with stakeholders and program managers, and worked cross-functionally to achieve goals.

At Amazon, Jason also worked as a Business Analyst, where they engaged with network-level problems, supported solution implementation, managed a portfolio of projects, and performed deep analysis of complex data. Additionally, they held roles as a Team Lead/Supervisor and Customer Service Agent at Amazon.

Jason's earlier experience includes working as an Educational Recruiter at ITT Technical Institute, an Agent at Rosemount City Insurance, and an Office Manager at First American Financial Insurance Agency.

Jason Neal completed their Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor's degree in Game and Simulation Programming and Design from DeVry University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Jason also holds an Associate's degree in Accounting Technology from Ohio University, which they obtained from 2001 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, Jason has obtained several certifications, including "CS411 Database Systems", "CS 410: Text Information Systems", "CS498 Applied Machine Learning", "Building a Data Science Team", and "A Crash Course in Data Science" from Coursera and Coursera Course Certificates.
