David Buchwald

David Buchwald has held a variety of roles in the public and private sector. In 2000, they began their career as an Analyst at NERA Economic Consulting, where they worked on litigation and regulatory reviews. In 2007, they became an Associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. In 2010, they were elected to the White Plains Common Council, and in 2013 they served four terms in the New York State Assembly. In 2021, they became the Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at Meltek Inc., as well as a Senior Advisor at Impact Finance Center. David also joined Weiss Asset Management as Legal Counsel in 2022.

David Buchwald obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Yale University between 1996 and 2000. David then attended Harvard Law School and Harvard Kennedy School from 2003 to 2007, earning a Doctor of Law (JD) and Master of Public Policy (MPP) respectively. In February 2008, they were admitted to the New York State Unified Court System as an Attorney. More recently, they obtained Leadership Fundamentals and Leadership: Practical Skills certifications from LinkedIn in June and August 2021 respectively.
