Ashley Keefner

COO & Co-Founder at Membio

Ashley Keefner has worked in a variety of roles since 2010. From 2010 to 2017, they were a Course Instructor/Teaching Assistant and Research Project Lead at the University of Waterloo. In 2017, they became the CEO & Co-Founder of CataLight. From 2018 to 2019, they were a Self-Employed Strategy & Management Consultant, working on projects such as Palitronica Inc. In 2019, they became an Early Stage Startup Advisor and Velocity Concept Startup Coach at Velocity. In 2020, they became the COO & Co-Founder of Membio Inc. Ashley also served as a Conrad Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Advisor at the Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business from 2018 to 2019.

Ashley Keefner has a diverse educational background. Ashley obtained a Master of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology from the University of Waterloo in 2018, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Philosophy from the University of Waterloo in 2017, a Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Science from the University of Waterloo in 2017, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Philosophy from the University of Waterloo in 2013, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy) and Science (Physics), with Mathematics minor from the University of Windsor in 2012. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including a Certificate in Fundamentals of Management Consulting from the Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business in 2018, a Certificate in Technical Sales from the Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business in 2018, a Student Leadership Certificate from the University of Waterloo Student Leadership Program in 2016, and a Fundamentals of University Teaching Certificate from the University of Waterloo Centre for Teaching Excellence in 2015.
