Head Of Design at Membrane Labs

Iru Arostegui is an experienced design professional with a diverse range of roles. In 2019, Iru worked as a Geodesic Dome Designer at Domes and later as an Employee at Riders al garage. They then took on a role as a Designer in 2019 before transitioning to become a UX UI Designer & Dev. at Bruschetti in January 2021. From June 2021 to February 2022, Iru worked as a Product Designer at Macher IT, leading a small design team and designing user-centered websites, mobile apps, and smartwatch apps. They also worked as a Tutor at Coderhouse from June 2021 to September 2021, actively tutoring students and evaluating challenges and case studies. From January 2022 to October 2022, Iru served as a UX UI Designer & Design System Lead at Supervielle Seguros, leading the creation and implementation of design systems and collaborating with the development team. In 2022, Iru joined Rather Labs, Inc as a Contractor, providing specialized expertise and support for the Membrane project, where they later became the Head of Design. In this role, Iru led the design team for a blockchain OTC exchange project, established and led design operations for the UX/UI team, and collaborated with cross-functional teams for alignment.

Iru Arostegui has a diverse education history. In 2022, they completed a Design System Bootcamp at Memorisely. The previous year, in 2021, they obtained an Advanced UX UI Design certification from Coderhouse. Prior to that, they completed a Web Development program and a UX UI Design program at Coderhouse in 2020. In terms of formal education, Iru attended the University of Buenos Aires from 2014 to 2020, studying Industrial Design. They also attended Facultad de Ingeniería del Ejército in 2018. Before university, Iru attended Colegio Armonia from 2006 to 2011, where they obtained a Technician degree in electromechanical equipment and installations, as well as a Baccalaureate degree in Goods and Services. Additionally, Iru has obtained several certifications, including Product Manager from Udemy in 2022, Advanced UX UI Design from Coderhouse in 2021, Web Development from Coderhouse in 2021, and UX UI Design from Coderhouse in 2020.
