David Cohen

David Cohen has a diverse work experience. David is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer - NLP at Memora Health since January 2024. Before that, they co-founded Keepsake Digital in July 2023 and led business and tech development. David also owned DC Software and Research, where they provided NLP and general software consulting services for startup clients starting in February 2023. From 2018 to 2023, they worked as a Lead Dialog System Engineer at Gridspace. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer II at Microsoft from August 2017 to May 2018. David also served as the President of Better Democracy Network from January 2017 to March 2018. David pursued a Ph.D. at Carnegie Mellon University from 2011 to September 2016. Additionally, they worked as a CTO at Podium Technologies from May 2015 to July 2016, and as an intern at Toyota Info-tech Center in 2014 and Honda Research Institute Japan Co. Ltd. in 2012.

David Cohen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from UCLA in 2011. From 2011 to 2017, they attended Carnegie Mellon University, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. David left the PhD program before completing it, but achieved the status of ABD (All But Dissertation).
