Janelle Reilly

Janelle Reilly is the current CEO at CHI Memorial. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy Officer at Presence Health from January 2012 to December 2015. Janelle was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the acute and post-acute care operations, as well as the strategic direction of the entire enterprise.

During their time at Presence Health, Janelle was instrumental in leading the company through a merger and integration of two health systems, propelling the new organization to the number two position in the Chicago market. Janelle also significantly improved the financial performance of hospital and post-acute care operations, from a $3 million operating margin in 2013 to $69 million by October of 2015. In addition, they played a significant leadership role in exceeding three-year $188 million performance improvement goals, achieved through the deployment of a new operating model, portfolio re-balancing, and numerous other non-clinical improvements.

Janelle facilitated the strategic planning process and received Board endorsement for Presence Health's first strategic plan. Janelle was also instrumental in deploying a new integrated operating model for the system, including the formation of six acute care regions and centralization of system non-clinical functions, resulting in more integrated decision making and economies of scale. Additionally, they led the formation of a new Clinical Leadership Council which is a clinician-led system-wide approach to standardizing clinical processes, credentialing, and privileging to achieve predictable and reliable clinical outcomes

Janelle Reilly has a Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Janelle also has a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Mathematics from William Jewell College. Janelle Reilly also spent a year abroad at Oxford Scholar.
