Kulwinder Chhokar

Kulwinder Chhokar has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. They started their career as a Health Information Technician at Avalon Gardens Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in 2003. They then moved on to become an Associate Director of Health Information Management at Brunswick Hospital Center, Inc. from 2004 to 2005. Afterward, they worked as an Associate Director of Health Information Management at Northwell Health from 2005 to 2012. During this time, they also held various leadership positions such as Director of HIM, Chief Compliance Officer, and Chief Privacy Officer at Memorial Healthcare starting from 2012. In addition to their roles in healthcare organizations, Kulwinder Chhokar also served as an Adjunct Faculty in the Health IT Training Program for Electronic Health Records at Suffolk County Community College from 2010.

Kulwinder Chhokar holds an Executive MBA degree from St. Joseph's University in New York, which was completed from 2004 to 2006. They also obtained a Master's Degree in Management with a concentration in Organizational Management from the same university during the same period. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration from St. Joseph's University in 2001. Additionally, they hold an Associate's Degree in Health Information Technology/Medical Records from Suffolk County Community College, completed from 1996 to 2001. Kulwinder Chhokar is also a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certified by the AHIMA.
