Kanika Arora

Kanika Arora is a seasoned computational biologist specializing in bioinformatics with extensive experience in cancer research and genomics. Currently serving as a Principal Computational Biologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center since March 2020, Kanika focuses on ancestry inference, studying cancer incidence across populations, and enhancing bioinformatics workflows for liquid biopsy analyses. Prior roles at New York Genome Center included managing and mentoring teams, developing in-house pipelines, and presenting research at conferences. Kanika's previous experience also includes significant contributions in genomics at Dow Agrosciences, where expertise in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and data analysis was leveraged to support agricultural research.
