Yixiao Gong is a highly experienced computational biologist with a strong background in bioinformatics and data analysis. Currently serving as a Principal Computational Biologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center since October 2018, Yixiao Gong has developed expertise in analyzing clinical sequencing data, performing variant calling, and conducting expression profiling. Previously, Yixiao Gong held the position of Senior Bioinformatician at NYU Langone Medical Center, creating a novel long non-coding RNA discovery pipeline that contributed to multiple high-quality publications. Earlier experience includes work as a Bioinformatician and Research Assistant at various institutions, utilizing machine learning and statistical methods to support genomic research projects. Yixiao Gong earned a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics from Soochow University.
