Nancy Newlin, PhD, currently serves as an Information Technology Solutions Architect at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center since September 2025, focusing on high-performance computing and AI to enhance cancer research efforts. Previously, Nancy was a PhD candidate at Vanderbilt University, where significant progress included passing a thesis proposal between July 2021 and May 2025. Nancy also gained experience as a Graduate Research Intern at Microsoft in 2024, working on domain-informed positional encodings in transformers. Earlier experiences include roles as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Florida on a DARPA-funded project and contributing to computational geometry research, as well as a Summer Intern at L3Harris Technologies managing an internal IT platform. Nancy holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Florida.
