Jeff Deits

Jeff Deits enters his second season with the Grizzlies as head athletic trainer. Prior to joining the Grizzlies, Deits was the athletic trainer for the men’s basketball, men’s ice hockey and women’s golf programs at The Ohio State University from 2007-10 and 2013-19, bookending three years on staff at Wichita State University.

He earned his master’s degree in sport humanities from Ohio State in 2009 and a bachelor of science in sport and exercise science with an emphasis in athletic training from Northern Colorado in 2007. Deits has had internships with the Central Hockey League’s Colorado Eagles and NFL’s San Diego Chargers. He currently holds certifications as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Corrective Exercise Specialist and Performance Enhancement Specialist.
