Nirmal Kumar Arumugam

Nirmal Kumar Arumugam is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in semiconductor design and verification. Currently serving as Director at MemryX Inc. since January 2023, Nirmal focuses on developing AI accelerator chips. Previously, Nirmal held various leadership roles at Qualcomm from May 2013 to July 2022, including Director Engg, where responsibilities included coaching verification teams and overseeing low power systems and performance verification. Other positions included Principal Engineer, where Nirmal led the verification of the Snapdragon Chromebook SD7125 SOC, and Engineering Manager for SOC low power systems. Earlier experiences include project management at Sasken, technical leadership at HCL Technologies, and ASIC design at Alliance Semiconductor. Nirmal holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Bharathiar University.
