Rich Demarinis

Rich DeMarinis has a diverse and extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Rich is currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at MEMX since January 2022. Before that, they worked as a Trading System Core Software Developer at MEMX from March 2020 to December 2021. Prior to joining MEMX, Rich held the position of Principal Software Engineer - Enterprise Architecture at Nasdaq from June 2015 to March 2018.

Earlier in their career, Rich worked as a Software Developer at Interactive Data from March 2011 to January 2015. Rich also had a significant tenure at Nasdaq, where they served as a Principal Technologist from December 2005 to March 2011. During their time at Nasdaq, Rich played a key role in the design, development, and production support of various stock exchanges and clearing systems.

Additionally, Rich has held positions at Virtu Financial as a Principal Technologist in 2008, Instinet / INET as Vice President Core Development from 2004 to 2005, BAE SYSTEMS as a Member of Technical Staff from 2003 to 2004, MicroFirm Inc as Vice President/Co-Founder from 2000 to 2003, Mail.com as a Software Engineer from 1999 to 2000, and Dialogic as a Software Engineer from 1993 to 1998.

Rich DeMarinis attended Thomas Edison Technical and Vocational High School in New York City from 1977 to 1980, where they studied electronics. After high school, they went on to study Electrical and Electronics Engineering at The Polytechnic Institute of New York University from 1980 to 1981. Rich then transferred to the New York Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science with an Electrical Engineering minor from 1981 to 1985.
