Erin Owen Ph.D., Mph

Erin Owen, PhD, MPH has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in both non-profit and research organizations. Erin currently serves as the Vice President of Clinical Research at Mend Labs, a life science company that focuses on innovative targeted nutrition solutions. In addition, they are a Science Board Member at Mend Labs. Prior to their current position, Erin was the Executive Director of the Slocum Research & Education Foundation, where they provided executive leadership and managed day-to-day operations for the foundation's research and education activities. Erin also served as the Director of Business Intelligence & Analytics at the Slocum Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Erin has held roles as Visiting Scientist at the OHSU Center for Policy & Research in Emergency Medicine, Adjunct Faculty at the University of Oregon, Acting Executive Director at Health Policy Research Northwest, and Clinical Research Coordinator/Research Associate at The Center: Orthopedic & Neurosurgical Care & Research. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Immunization Management Consultant and Instructor at San Diego State University. Erin has extensive experience in project management, budgeting, clinical research coordination, and collaborative partnerships. Erin has also contributed to scientific journals through manuscript preparation and grant submissions.

Erin Owen, PhD, MPH completed their education in a chronological manner. Erin earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Health Sciences from Linfield University between the years 1998 and 2002. Following that, they pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology from San Diego State University from 2002 to 2004. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Public Health - Health Policy from Oregon State University spanning from 2011 to 2017.
