John Wurdinger

John Wurdinger has been serving the Menlo Park Fire Protection District since July 1996, currently holding the position of Interim Division Chief of Special Operations. Throughout their career, John has held various titles such as Battalion Chief, Fire Captain, Firefighter/Engineer, and Fire Prevention Assistant. John has also been involved with California Task Force 3 since January 2001, serving as Program Manager, Training Manager, Task Force Leader, Search Team Manager, and Technical Search Specialist. In addition, John has been actively involved with the San Mateo County Firefighters Union, serving as President, Executive Secretary, 10th District Vice President, and 10th District Shop Steward. John also dedicated time serving in the United States Marine Forces Reserve as a Sergeant and Corporal. John earned a Bachelor of Science in Fire Administration from the University of Silicon Valley and an Associates of Science in Fire Technology from the College of San Mateo.
