Ron Willms

Director Of Finance at Menno Place

Ron Willms has extensive experience in finance and administration roles. Ron is currently working as the Director of Finance at Menno Place since August 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Finance and Administration at Tabor Village from May 2016 to August 2021. Before that, they were the Executive Director at Garden Park Tower from June 2014 to May 2016. Ron also worked as the Business Administrator at MEI Schools from November 2010 to June 2014. Ron served in various roles at Trinity Western University, including Associate Vice President from May 2004 to October 2009, Director of Financial Services from 2000 to 2004, Manager of Financial Reporting from 1999 to 2000, and Instructor at the School of Business from 2000 to 2001.

Ron Willms obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan in 1995. Following this, from 1995 to 1997, they attended the Society of Management Accountants of British Columbia, earning a CPA, CMA degree with a focus on Strategic Management Accounting. Ron then pursued a Master of Arts in Leadership with a specialization in Business Leadership from Trinity Western University from 2001 to 2003. Most recently, in 2015, Ron completed the Age-Friendly Business Academy, earning a Certified Professional Consultant on Aging (CPCA) certification, although the field of study for this program is not specified.

Menno Place is one of BC’s largest campuses-of-care providing residential care, assisted living, home support and independent living to 700 residents in 6 buildings on 11 acres. Founded in 1953 by the Mennonite Benevolent Society, we have been privileged to serve the physical, emotional, spiritual and relational needs of thousands of residents and their families. In 2013, we celebrate 60 years of providing care to such residents in our community. Our goal is to continue to provide a vibrant community built on generosity, respect, mutuality and Christian compassion.
