Katelynn Folkerts is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program management and compliance, particularly in the fields of economic development and conflict resolution. Currently serving as the Compliance and Program Quality Lead for Eastern & Southern Africa at MEDA, Katelynn has led projects focused on cassava seed systems in multiple African countries while providing consultancy services to international projects. Previous roles include coordinating gender equality initiatives and conducting labor market assessments in Africa, as well as conducting qualitative research on youth issues at Mercy Corps. Katelynn’s educational background includes a Master's degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor's degree in Global Development and Economics from Queen’s University.
