Research Analyst, Government Affairs at Mental Health Association in New Jersey

Nicole Milano, LSW, currently serves as an Assistant Professor in Public Health at William Paterson University of New Jersey since August 2024 and is a Doctoral Candidate at Rutgers School of Social Work since 2019. Research interests encompass health equity, equitable healthcare access, social determinants of health, integrated care, and interprofessional education. Nicole has been a Research Analyst for Government Affairs at the Mental Health Association in New Jersey since May 2019 and completed an internship as a Clinical Social Work Intern/BHWET Fellow at NJCRI from August 2018 to May 2019. Previous roles include Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training Program Fellow at Rutgers University and a Senior Research Coordinator at the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America, where involvement focused on advancing research in Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Nicole holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science in Biobehavioral Health from Penn State University.
