Statewide Director Of Strategic Programs And Mental Health First Aid at Mental Health Association in New Jersey

Ruth Kaluski has extensive work experience in the mental health and rehabilitation sectors. Ruth served as the Statewide Director of Strategic Programs and Mental Health First Aid at the Mental Health Association in New Jersey from February 2023 to the present. Prior to that, they worked at the same organization as the Program Director of the Career Connection Employment Resource Institute from October 2014 to the present, and as the Assistant Director of the same program from May 2012 to September 2014.

Before joining the Mental Health Association in New Jersey, Ruth was the Associate Director at the International Center for the Disabled from 1989 to May 2012. Ruth also worked as a Rehabilitation Consultant at Re-Entry Rehabilitation and Continental Rehabilitation from 1991 to 1994.

Ruth Kaluski's education history begins in 1980 when they enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ruth pursued a Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and completed their studies in 1985.

In addition to their education, Ruth Kaluski has obtained various certifications. In 1991, they became a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor through the CRCC (Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification). Ruth also holds a license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, granted by the New York State Education Department in 2007.

Furthermore, Ruth Kaluski has acquired several instructor certifications. In 2014, they became an Instructor for Mental Health First Aid: Adult (Veteran, Higher Education, Public Safety), Youth, Teen Curriculums, awarded by the National Council for Behavioral Health. Ruth also obtained the Mental Health First Aid certifications for both adults and youth.

Most recently, in January 2021, Ruth Kaluski completed the Instructor certification for Question Persuade Refer (QPR) Suicide Gatekeeper Training, offered by the QPR Institute.
