Ruth Vanbergen

Ruth vanBergen, LPC-MHSP has extensive work experience in the mental health field. Ruth began their career at Union County Counseling in 1996 as the PSR Director. In 1998, they joined Mental Health Cooperative as the Director of Case Management, a position they held until 2013. From 2013 to 2015, Ruth served as the Chief Program Officer at Mental Health Cooperative. Ruth then took on the role of Senior Vice President, Program Services from 2015 to 2016. Ruth's next position at the company was as Senior Vice President of Operations from 2016 to 2021. Currently, starting from September 2021, they are the Senior Vice President of Population Health at Mental Health Cooperative.

Ruth vanBergen, LPC-MHSP has a diverse education history. Starting in 1991, they attended Arizona State University for their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology, which they completed in 1993. Ruth then pursued further education at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, where they earned their Master of Science in Education (MSEd) in Educational Psychology from 1993 to 1997. Continuing their academic journey, Ruth attended the University of Phoenix from 2002 to 2004, obtaining their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Healthcare Management. Ruth recently focused on enhancing their knowledge in the healthcare field by completing a Graduate Certificate in Population Health at Thomas Jefferson University from 2021 to 2022.
