Dawn Theaker currently serves as the Marketing Manager for The QHotels Collection, focusing on business marketing for meetings and events since August 2022. Additionally, Dawn is the owner of Curious Candles, a venture dedicated to hand-pouring eco-friendly candles, started in April 2021. With a commitment to mental health, Dawn has been a qualified Mental Health First Aider with MHFA England since June 2019. Previously, Dawn held the position of Marketing Manager at Best Western Hotels GB from February 2016 to August 2022, and has extensive marketing experience from roles at the National Railway Museum, Northern Ballet, and Yorkshire Tourist Board, beginning in July 2001. Dawn is an alumnus of the University of Leeds.

We are Mental Health First Aid England. We’re a social enterprise with a vision to improve the mental health of the nation. Our evidence-based training gives people tools to support themselves and each other, so everyone can talk about mental health and seek help when needed. Most adults spend at least a third of their time at work, so we start there to change how society deals with mental health now and in the future. Over the last decade, we’ve provided expert consultancy and training to over 20,000 workplaces. We want mentally healthy workplaces for all. We campaign for equality between mental and physical health in the workplace. We advocate a whole organisation approach and lead by example. As a social enterprise, we reinvest our profits to support the next generation. We offer free and discounted training to those in the sports and recreation sectors working with young people.
