Vice President Of Engineering at MentorcliQ

Armen Sahakyan has worked in the tech industry for over 10 years. Starting in 2010, they worked as a Software Engineer at SFL - Specific Features Localization, where they led a team of 3 developers to build online banking capability for one of the banks in Armenia (InecoBank). Armen also developed the Loan in Place web project which allowed buying products by loan in stores using only ID card, as well as a reporting engine and data visualization component to present data using static and ad-hoc reports. In 2012, they joined VMware as a Senior Member of Technical Staff, where they were responsible for engineering and releasing vRealize Log Insight. Armen took ownership of key features of the product and was responsible for core Java backend and JS frontend full-stack feature development, as well as coaching and mentoring new team members and debugging and testing the quality of the software. In 2018, they joined MentorcliQ as Vice President of Engineering and Staff Engineer. As a tech lead of the MentorcliQ software platform, they were responsible for design software architecture, setup newly formed team and its values, Java and PHP backends and JS frontend side feature development, bug fixing, planning and leading the development and release of a mobile app, and coaching and mentoring new team members. MentorcliQ is an award-winning mentoring software solution that helps companies engage, develop, and retain top their talent through high-impact employee mentoring programs.

Armen Sahakyan received a Bachelor's Degree in Informatics and Computer Science from the State Engineering University of Armenia in Yerevan from 2003 to 2007. Armen then went on to receive a Master's Degree from the Institute for Informatics and Automation Problems, NAS, Yerevan from 2007 to 2009. Finally, they received their Ph.D. in Digital Image Processing from the same institute from 2009 to 2012.
