MENZIES SCHOOL OF HEALTH RESEARCH
Matthew Hare is an experienced endocrinologist and senior research fellow with a strong background in diabetes and obesity research. Currently serving at the Menzies School of Health Research since February 2019, Matthew holds multiple roles including Senior Research Fellow, Senior Research Officer, and is a PhD candidate. Additionally, Matthew is a board member of the Australasian Diabetes In Pregnancy Society since January 2023 and has been an endocrinologist at Royal Darwin Hospital since February 2019. Previous positions include registrar roles in endocrinology at Monash Health and Alfred Health, as well as a visiting research student at the University of Cambridge. Matthew obtained a Doctor of Philosophy from Charles Darwin University and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (with Honours) and an Honours Degree of Bachelor of Medical Science from Monash University.
