Elena Fischer

Senior Designer - Softs at ME+EM

Elena Fischer has a wealth of experience in the fashion industry. Elena began their career in 2009 with an internship at ANTONIA GOY, where they assisted with draping, pattern cutting, and grading. Elena then moved on to become an Academic Assistant at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hannover in 2012, where they were responsible for organizing the fashion show MODEPREIS Hannover. In the same year, they also began working as a Womenswear Design Assistant at Hussein Chalayan, where they were responsible for note keeping, fitting photos, and communication with suppliers.

In 2014, Fischer became a Fashion Designer at R&W, where they were responsible for designing a full range womenswear collection and capsule collections within the premium market. Elena then moved on to become a Senior Fashion Designer at Liebeskind Berlin in 2015. There, they were responsible for designing and developing multiple product groups, managing a team of design assistants and interns, and travelling abroad for manufacturer and supplier visits.

In 2017, Fischer began working as a Freelance Fashion Designer. In 2018, they became a Senior Designer at IDEN DENIM, where they were responsible for designing and developing a full multi product range focusing on denim with an emphasis on creating the most sustainable product possible. Finally, in 2019, they became a Senior Designer - Softs at ME+EM Ltd.

Elena Fischer's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Fashion Design from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hannover, which they obtained between 2007 and 2012. In 2010, they also attended Zhejiang Sci-Tech University. In 2019, they completed a short course in Sustainable Fashion at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.
