James Hymel

James Hymel has a strong background in technology and software development. James started their career as a Director of Engineering at Motorola Mobile Devices, where they worked for four years. Following this, they joined Texas Instruments as a Product Marketing Manager, specializing in mobile TV and GPS technologies. James later became the Director of Software Integration, Architecture, Validation, and Tools for OMAP at Texas Instruments, where they led teams in aggregating and validating software platforms for customer release. In 2009, they joined Research In Motion as the Director of Competitive Intelligence. Currently, James is the Senior VP at MERA, overseeing the USA operations and business development for Mera Software Services. James focuses on IoT solutions in various fields such as agriculture, ocean, smart metering, fleet management, automotive, wearables, surveillance, and industrial lighting.

James Hymel attended The University of Southern Mississippi from 1977 to 1982, where they obtained a BSCE degree in Computer Engineering. James also studied Computer Engineering with a focus on Software during the same period at the University of Southern Mississippi.
