Tomasz Szczodrowski has worked in various roles and companies throughout their career. Tomasz started working as an Associate System Integration Test Engineer at ADVA Optical Networking in July 2017 and continued in this role until December 2018. During this time, they contributed to the development of GUI automated tests and trained others in this area. From January 2019 to November 2020, they worked as an Associate Software Engineer at the same company, focusing on Java development and contributing to new features. Tomasz also won an internal hackathon by implementing a user-friendly view for monitoring system health.
In September 2020, Tomasz briefly worked as a Java Trainer at Software Development Academy. Later, in December 2020, they joined Merapar as a Software Developer. Tomasz was promoted to Senior Software Developer and continued working on both new and existing services, with a focus on Java. In this role, they also reviewed team member contributions and improved overall code quality.
At the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, Tomasz worked as a Teacher in June 2021. Finally, in June 2022, they were promoted to Lead Software Developer at Merapar, where they are currently responsible for improving team effectiveness, reducing dependencies, and enhancing knowledge distribution. Tomasz is also involved in customer communication and resolving production issues.
Tomasz Szczodrowski received their Engineer's degree in Information Technology from the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, where they studied from 2016 to 2020. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications including the Oracle Certified Professional: Java SE 11 Developer certification from Oracle in December 2021, the Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) certification from Scrum.org in January 2021, and the Professional Scrum Developer I (PSD I) and Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certifications from Scrum.org in December 2020.
