Zane Busteed

Zane is an associate on Mercato’s Investment Team. In this role, he identifies growth-stage companies in Utah and leads pre-investment diligence, financial modeling, and valuation. Once the companies are in the portfolio, Zane works with them providing counsel, governance and harvest preparation.

Zane began his work at Mercato as an investment analyst, performing market research, financial modeling, valuation, diligence, and portfolio company harvesting activities. Prior to Mercato, Zane was a business analyst with Goldman Sachs in their regulatory reporting team where he was responsible for clients’ compliance with new IRS regulations.

Zane graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in economics and political science. He enjoys backcountry skiing, mountaineering, and traveling with his wife.
