Brett Doyle

Managing Director Of Outreach at Mercatus Center

Brett Doyle has a strong background in government and policy. Brett started their career in 2011 as a Legislative Correspondent for Senator Pat Toomey. Brett then worked their way up to become a Legislative Assistant and Policy Analyst for the Senate Republican Policy Committee. In 2017, they joined the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative as a Senior Director for Congressional Affairs. In 2018, they moved to the US Environmental Protection Agency, where they served as a Senior Advisor to the Administrator and later as an Associate Administrator. Brett then transitioned to the United States Senate, where they became a Senior Advisor to Senator Toomey on the Congressional Oversight Commission. Most recently, Brett joined Sylvamo as the Director of Government Relations in 2021. Brett also has a future role as the Managing Director of Outreach for the Mercatus Center at George Mason University starting in 2023.

Brett Doyle received their Bachelor's degree in History from Lafayette College, where they studied from 2007 to 2010. Later, from 2017 to 2020, they attended the U.S. Naval War College and obtained a Graduate Diploma in Joint Professional Military Education, Phase 1.
