Deneva Contreras

Deneva Contreras is an experienced educator and professional with a background in social science and various roles in education and childcare. Currently serving as a Social Science Teacher at Chowchilla Union High School since January 2020, Deneva also works as a Substitute Teacher for the Merced County Office of Education since 2016. In addition, Deneva is an Americorps Member at City Year San Jose/Silicon Valley, supervising an after-school program for third to fifth graders at Anthony J. Dorsa Elementary School and facilitating STEAM lessons. Prior experience includes serving as a Personal Assistant at Kubo Consulting from May 2012 to July 2015 and a Childcare Provider at MOPS International in early 2013. Deneva holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Business/Managerial Economics from the University of California, Merced, earned between 2013 and 2015.
