Bill Chinn

Bill Chinn has worked in the gaming industry for over 25 years. Starting in 1994, they were an Engineering Lead for Spectrum Holobyte/MicroProse, where they worked on Star Trek: Birth of the Federation and Top Gun: Fire At Will! for PC CD-ROM titles. In 1999, they joined Electronic Arts as a Technical Director/Engineering Lead, where they oversaw 4 projects, including Quake based First Person shooter, PS2 Character Action Game, and Game Boy Advance Title. In 2001, they moved to Rivermind, Inc as VP of Engineering, where they performed contract Engineering for several clients, including Electronic Arts. In 2005, they joined Activision as Studio CTO for Underground Development (renamed from Z-Axis), where they managed Engineering, Technical Design and Architecture choices for the studio and all of engineering at Z-Axis, as well as Executive Producer for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars / PS3. In 2010, they became CEO of Mercenary Technology.

Bill Chinn attended the University of Oregon from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Math.
