Steve Fairfield

Steve Fairfield serves as the Technical Director for Software & Cybersecurity at Mercer Engineering Research Center since June 2021, following a distinguished career in the United States Air Force from November 1988 to March 2021, where roles included F-15 System Sustainment Manager and Deputy Division Chief for Sustainment with TS/SCI Clearance. Fairfield's extensive technical expertise spans various leadership positions in rotary and fixed-wing aircraft, coupled with a strong foundation in cybersecurity, evidenced by multiple master's degrees in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Business Administration, as well as a Bachelor's and Associate's degree in Information Technology and Computer Science. Additionally, Fairfield's experience includes technical roles at EaglePicher Technologies and the US Navy, contributing a comprehensive skill set to the fields of software and cybersecurity.
