Cynthia MacMillan

Independent Textile Researcher at Mercer Museum & Fonthill Castle

Cynthia MacMillan is an accomplished independent textile researcher currently assisting with the identification, research, documentation, and preservation of textiles at Mercer Museum & Fonthill Castle since April 2021. In addition, Cynthia serves as a course instructor and advisory board member at the Center for Learning in Retirement, beginning in May 2019, and previously worked as a docent for Pearl S. Buck International from June 2018 to April 2021. Prior experience includes a visitor services representative role at the James A. Michener Art Museum from May 2019 to August 2020. Cynthia holds a Graduate Certificate in Quilt Studies, Material Culture and Textile Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has an MBA from Baldwin Wallace University. Further educational achievements include a PhD in Special Education Transition from Kent State University and a BA in Home Economics from Montclair State University.
