Mark Murphy

Mark Murphy is a Senior Partner at the Center for Digestive and Liver Health, contributing to the management and growth of a gastroenterology practice in Savannah, Georgia since 1994. In addition to a successful medical career, Mark has authored multiple novels, including "The Curse of the Thrax," and serves as a columnist for the Savannah Morning News. Academically, Mark is involved with the University of Georgia as a Dean's Advisory Council Member and has taught as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Mercer University. Mark also held the position of President of the Savannah Book Festival from 2016 to 2018 and was a member of the Board of Directors at Memorial Health from 2004 to 2017. Mark's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine and a fellowship in Internal Medicine/Gastroenterology from the UNC School of Medicine, alongside a B.S. in Zoology from The University of Georgia.
