Alexander Sobolev

Alexander Sobolev currently serves as the Global Procurement Sustainability Lead for Indirect categories at Merck Group since June 2014, previously holding the position of Regional Procurement Head for Russia, Turkey, the Middle East, and Africa. Sobolev has extensive experience in sourcing and purchasing across multiple business segments, overseeing a team of four. Prior to Merck, Sobolev was the Regional Sourcing Manager at Agrega, focusing on Indirects for major clients in Eastern Europe. Earlier experience includes a role as Purchasing Manager at Procter and Gamble, specializing in sourcing for energy, construction, and temporary labor in the region. Alexander Sobolev holds a High Education Diploma in Linguistics from Tula State University.
