Dr. Santanu Mukhopadhyay

Dr. Santanu Mukhopadhyay is an experienced professional in the field of patient safety and pharmacovigilance, currently serving as the Head of Global Patient Safety for Neurology, Immunology, and Fertility at Merck Group since June 2024. Previous roles include Head of Medical Safety at Vectura Fertin Pharma and various leadership positions at Novartis from December 2007 to August 2022, where responsibilities encompassed safety strategy, document development, and signal detection in clinical development and post-marketing. Dr. Mukhopadhyay began medical training as a resident physician at R.G. Kar Medical College and holds a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Pharmaceutical Medicine from the University of Basel.
