Maike Asmussen

Maike Asmussen currently serves as Chief Political Officer and Head of EU & Germany Corporate Affairs at Merck Gruppe, a position held since March 2015, where Maike oversees political engagement and advocacy in Berlin. Previously, between October 2009 and February 2015, Maike worked at the Bundeskanzleramt as a Referentin in the Directorate General for European Affairs, responsible for liaising with parliamentary bodies and coordinating the Federal Government's positioning on European matters. Additional experience includes a role as Referentin at the Bundesministerium des Innern in early 2008, focusing on Federal European policy, and at the Hessische Staatskanzlei, where Maike supported state visits and functions. Maike holds an MBA in Public Affairs and Leadership from Quadriga University and a BA in International Relations from Franklin University Switzerland.
